| I want to personally welcome you, my visitor, to this web site.
I have been busy lately. Other than working my real job at Southern Accounting Systems, my responsibilities and activities include: the Chairman of the Franklin County Industrial Board, a Russellville Volunteer Firefighter, an Emergency Medical Technician, a member of the Franklin County Dive Team, Treasurer for the Franklin County Baptist Association, member of Calvary Baptist Church, Men I Sunday School Teacher, involved in Disaster Relief with the Southern Baptist Convention, and a couple of overseas mission trips to Thailand.
Since my decision to not seek re-election for my City Council, District 2 seat, in 2004, I have had too much to do to miss it. I have to say that I thoroughly enjoy serving the citizens of Russellville as a Volunteer Firefighter. I went from putting out "political fires" to putting out real ones. It was very humbling this past year to be named "Russellville Volunteer Firefighter of the Year - 2005". We have a great bunch of guys and I appreciate the opportunity to work with them. |

Another endeavor that I have taken on is Disaster Relief with the Southern Baptist Convention. This calling has taken me to serve in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Biloxi, Mississippi, in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Also, I went on a Tsunami Rebuild Mission Trip to Thailand last September and will be going again in March. The two weeks I spent in the Phang Na Province, north of Phuket, was a life-changing event to say in the least. I am looking forward to returning to work with my friends there, in March.
Feel free to drop me a personal note, here on my Contact Robbie page. Once again, thank you for stopping by. |
